The Models of Innovation Awards were handed out at the Second General Session of the 84th National FFA Convention on Thursday, October 20th. The Lemoore FFA Chapter of Lemoore, California was awrded the Models of Innovation Award for Student Development for their work in training dogs for the blind.
I had the chance to talk with Laine Tompkins, chapter Historian, and Kalena Mellott, past chapter officer, about their project and how their chapter accomplished this task.
