Meet Your 2019–20 Central Region Vice President

Mamie Hertel, 2019-20 Central Region Vice President

Students from Montana, Virginia, Puerto Rico, New Mexico, Oregon and Ohio have been elected by delegates throughout the United States to serve on the 2019-20 National FFA Officer team.

Mamie Hertel, a financial engineering major at Montana State University, was elected central region vice president.

Each year at the National FFA Convention & Expo, six students are elected by delegates to represent the organization as national officers. Delegates elect a president, secretary, and vice presidents representing the central, southern, eastern, and western regions of the country.

National officers commit to a year of service to the National FFA Organization. Each officer travels more than 100,000 national and international miles to interact with business and industry leaders; thousands of FFA members and teachers; corporate sponsors; government and education officials; state FFA leaders; the general public; and more. The team will lead personal growth and leadership training conferences for FFA members throughout the country and help set policies that will guide the future of FFA and promote agricultural literacy.

The National FFA Organization provides leadership, personal growth and career success training through agricultural education to more than 700,000 student members who belong to one of the more than 8,600 local FFA chapters throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The organization is also supported by more than 8 million alumni and supporters throughout the U.S. 

The National FFA Organization is a national youth organization of more than 700,000 student members as part of 8,600 local FFA chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Meet Your 2019–20 Eastern Region Vice President

Tess Seibel, 2019-20 Eastern Region Vice President

Students from Montana, Virginia, Puerto Rico, New Mexico, Oregon and Ohio have been elected by delegates throughout the United States to serve on the 2019-20 National FFA Officer team.

Tess Seibel, a nursing major at James Madison University, was elected eastern region vice president.

Prepared Public Speaking Winner Martha Moenning of Triton FFA , MN

The prepared public speaking LDE is designed to recognize outstanding FFA members for their ability to prepare and present a factual speech on a specific agricultural issue in a well thought-out and logical manner in a competitive setting. Members prepare and deliver an eight to ten minute speech from memory and respond to five minutes of questions. The event is just one way FFA members can develop their ability to communicate in a powerful, organized and professional manner.

National FFA Creed Speaker Winner- Isabella Albiani of Elk Grove FFA , CA

INDIANAPOLIS- Winners of the National FFA Creed Speaking Leadership Development Event (LDE) were announced Friday during the sixth session of the 92nd National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis. Dr. Kimberly Bellah of Murray State University served as superintendent of the event. The top four individuals received cash awards to recognize their success in the event. The cash awards and the Creed speaking event is sponsored by Fieldale Farms Corporation.The National FFA Creed Speaking LDE is designed to recognize outstanding FFA members for their ability to present the National FFA Creed in a competitive setting. Members deliver the Creed from memory and respond to three questions. The event gives FFA members the opportunity to develop their ability to communicate in a powerful, organized and professional manner.

Wildlife Production and Management – Entrepreneurship/Placement Kayla Reed – Wisconsin

Kayla Reed of the Pulaski FFA Chapter in Wisconsin started helping her dad monitoring lake water by collecting samples for the Citizens Lake Monitoring Network when she was in the seventh grade. Since then, she’s taken on more endeavors in the proficiency area, including working on a bullhead diet study and a juvenile walleye growth study. Reed has also created a small wildlife food plot in her backyard. She is supported by her parents, Kim and Grant, and her FFA advisors, Kaleb Santy, Cedric Pettis, and Terry Erdmann. Sponsored by National FFA Foundation & National FFA Organization.
