Meet Your 2021-22 Eastern Region Vice President

Mallory WhiteINDIANAPOLIS (Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021/National FFA Organization) – Students from Delaware, Georgia, Kentucky, Oregon, Washington and Wisconsin were elected by National FFA Delegates today to serve as 2021-22 National FFA Officers.

These members were selected from 37 candidates vying for the honor. Candidates take part in an extensive interview process with the National FFA Officer Nominating Committee leading up to the selection. The new team was announced during the seventh general session of the 94th National FFA Convention & Expo on Saturday, Oct. 30.

Mallory White, an agronomy major from Kentucky, was elected eastern region vice president. She attends Murray State University in Kentucky.

Each year during the National FFA Convention & Expo, six students are elected by delegates to represent the organization as national officers. Delegates elect a president, secretary, and vice presidents representing the country’s central, southern, eastern, and western regions.

Throughout their year of service to the National FFA Organization, the officers will interact with business and industry leaders; thousands of FFA members and teachers; corporate sponsors; government and education officials; state FFA leaders; the general public; and more. The team will lead personal growth and leadership training conferences for FFA members throughout the country and help set policies that will guide the future of FFA and the next generation of leaders.

Meet the 2021-22 Western Region Vice President

Josiah CruikshankINDIANAPOLIS (Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021/National FFA Organization) – Students from Delaware, Georgia, Kentucky, Oregon, Washington and Wisconsin were elected by National FFA Delegates today to serve as 2021-22 National FFA Officers.

Josiah Cruikshank, a business administration and mechanical engineering major from Oregon, was elected western region vice president. He attends Oregon State University.

2021 American Star Farmer Finalist Raegan Klaassen

Raegan Klaassen from Hydro, Oklahoma was selected as one of the four American Star Farmer finalists for her work on the farm. She grows 365 acres of dry land and irrigated wheat and has a double crop operation rotation between peanuts and black eyed peas. She most enjoys the cattle side of the operation and shares more about the impact of her supervised agricultural experiences to Broadcast Desk Intern Michelle Stangler.

2021 American Star Farmer Finalist Kurt Muggli

Kurt Muggli from Carson, North Dakota was selected as one of the four American Star Farmer finalists for his work on his family farm. Muggli began 7 years ago with only a few acres and it has now evolved to a larger scale growing wheat, corn, soybeans and sunflowers. He shares more with Broadcast Desk Intern Michelle Stangler.

2021 American Star in Agribusiness Finalist Noah Anuez

Noah Anuez from Lake City, Florida was selected as one of the four American Star in Agribusiness finalists for his fencing business. Anuez began mowing lawns at a young age and now he is full-time invested in his business and shares more with Broadcast Desk Intern Michelle Stangler how his Supervised Agricultural Experience has evolved over time.

2021 Small Animal Production and Care – Entrepreneurship/Placement Winner Ty Williams

Ty Williams of the Dawson FFA Chapter in Texas has a California breeding rabbit operation. He sells and exhibits market rabbits. Though he’s been showing rabbits since he was nine years old, he didn’t own his own operation until he took it over from his older brother. His cull rabbits are sold to a local USDA buyer who processes them for sale at Dallas-area farmers markets. He sells his market rabbits to livestock exhibitors across the state. Williams currently has 35 Californian does and nineteen Californian bucks. He has produced 66 litters for sale. He is supported by his mother, Tammy, and his FFA advisors, Kevin Leerskov and Michelle Sammon. Elanco Animal Health and Tractor Supply Company sponsor this proficiency.

2021 Swine Production – Placement Winner Britney Oehler

Britney Oehler of the Harrah FFA Chapter in Oklahoma works for Top Notch Genetics, caring for thirteen sows, two boar studs, and three show gilts, as well as breeding and selling show swine and semen. The operation primarily raises Durocs but also includes other breeds like Yorkshires, Berkshires, and crossbreeds. Oehler provides daily care for the pigs, including feeding, washing, brushing, and walking. She is supported by her parents, Lyndsay and Roger, and her FFA advisors, Brad Carey and Jessica Barnes. 2021 Swine Production – Entrepreneurship Winner Maggie Finch

Maggie Finch of the Cashmere FFA Chapter in Washington owned her first pig in the third grade. She’s since owned a total of five production females. She’s produced nineteen litters yielding 178 show pigs that she has sold throughout the state. She selects boars and artificially breeds them with each of her sows. Finch has won a total of twelve grand or reserve champion titles in market and showmanship. She is supported by her parents, Frederica and Rusty, and her FFA advisors, Rusty Finch and Jed Odenrider. Indiana Farm Bureau and Farm Bureau Insurance sponsor this proficiency.
