Cody Thompson wins Diversified Agricultural Production Profiency

John Deere green and toy tractors were both childhood favorites of Cody Clark Thompson of the Cumberland Gap FFA Chapter in Tennessee.  He soon put the toy tractors away for a real one when he was given the duty of raking hay on the family farm.  Today, he produces his own crops, manages his own beef cattle and raises Burley tobacco.  But he still loves John Deere green.  Thompson is supported by his parents Mark and Mary and his FFA advisors Dan Pearman, Wade Breeding and Robert Pearman. This award is sponsored by CF Industries and J.R. Simplot Company.
