The New Farmers of America was organized in 1935 for African-American students in the agriculture industry to gain leadership skills. The NFA merged with the National FFA Organization in 1965. The group honored its 50th anniversary at the 88th National FFA Convention & Expo.

Kelsey Litchfield visited with Major General Arnold Fields about NFA and how it shaped his future career in the Marine Corps.
