Bill Stagg of Indianapolis, Ind., has been awarded the VIP Citation by the National FFA Organization, recognizing his significant contributions and dedication to FFA and agricultural education.
Stagg began his career with the National FFA Organization in 1978 and for 37 years has been dedicated to promoting FFA and agricultural education. During his tenure at national FFA, he has served in a variety of roles, from an audiovisual production specialist to his current role as director of strategic communications. His leadership and historical knowledge plays a key role for the organization and helps him share the message of FFA. He is instrumental in the organization’s interactions with the board of directors and helped move the board to a governance model. He also plays a pivotal role with sponsor relationship management. Stagg holds both an honorary state FFA degree from the state of California as well as the Honorary American FFA Degree.
“The VIP Citation recognizes the dedicated individuals who contribute to the FFA mission of student success through their hard work and cooperation,” the organization’s CEO Dwight Armstrong said. “Without such strong and outstanding commitment, FFA would not be able to help build strong character in its members, who in turn build strong families, communities and industries.”
