The Versailles FFA (OH) being recognized at the 2015 Ohio State Fair with the Ohio Director of Agriculture and Fair Commissioners.
The Versailles (OH) Agriculture Education Food Science and Technology students throughout the 2014-2015 year have been participating in a project to develop a variety of Ice Creams for the Velvet Ice Cream Company in Ohio. Students in the class worked in groups of two or three to develop the new flavor, which would be served at the Ohio State Fair in 2015. The variety created had to be a variety that Velvet was not currently selling. Varieties created were: Lemon Ginger (Overall Winner), Peanut Butter and Jelly, Banana Nut Bread with Salted Carmel, Red Velvet S mores, Cinnamon Sugar Donuts with Cinnamon Sticks, Wittles with Skittles with Watermelon Drink, Cappuccino, Berry Lemonade Sweet Tea, and Green Apple Jolly Rancher Ice Creams.
