Audrey E. Hoey of the Zane Trace FFA Chapter in Ohio has three extensive projects for her SAE. Her first experiment manipulated certain fruits so they would solidify in gelatin. The second tested whether or not a homemade garlic solution would eliminate Crown Gall from tomato plants with more efficiency than a chemical method. Finally, she compared different levels of anthocyanin in fresh and frozen blueberries. Hoey is supported by parents Ben and Kelly Hoey and FFA advisors Jennifer Johnston and Gary Peters.
