When Alyssa Owens of the Sonoraville, Georgia, FFA chapter began distribution of a survey to score the agricultural literacy of her peers, she had high hopes. What she got back discouraged her, and she was able to develop a comprehensive study based on the results. As a result of these efforts, Owens was named the winner of the Social Systems Divisoin 1 at the National FFA Agriscience Fair Nov. 1, 2013. Our own Spencer Chase has more.
