Susan Mann of the Spencer County FFA Chapter in Taylorsville, Kentucky, has focused her research on something that could better her other agricultural pursuits. As a producer of sweet sorghum molasses, she’s researched methods of improving the taste and storage life of her product. She’s worked on preventing the sorghum from crystalizing and developing off-flavors. Mann is supported by her parents Jo and Garry and her FFA advisors Bland Baird and Darryl Matherly.
