Service Highlighted in Fourth General Session

The fourth general session of the 84th National FFA Convention, I Believe in Service, was highlighted by selfless acts and examples of exceptional service to others.

Western Region Vice President Shannon Norris was the chair of the session kicked off the session with a unique message of excitement and enthusiasm that even included a little bit of rapping.

Keynote speaker Vernice “Fly Girl” Armor told of her experiences in the military and how achieve goals in an effective manner.

Individuals were recognized for their outstanding service to FFA through the Distinguished Service Citations, VIP Awards, and Honorary American FFA Degrees.

Eastern Region Vice President Tiffany Rodgers, in her retiring address “Sign Here x_______”, spoke of the influence that others have had in her life and how we all have our own unique impact we can make, much like how our signature is unique.

I had the chance to talk with Braden Schovanec, who is currently serving as the Garber FFA Reporter in Garber, Oklahoma, and reflect on what we saw in the fourth general session.
