National FFA Members Encouraged to “Do More!” in Second Session

The Second Session of the 84th National FFA Convention, I Believe in Action, was chaired by Eastern Region Vice President Tiffany Rodgers, who encouraged FFA members to look upon the members and chapters recognized in the session for inspiration to change their chapter, community, and world.

Pride was shown in the presentation of State and Native American nation flags during the Parade of States.

Greetings were brought from United States Department of Education Assistant Secretary Brenda Dann-Messier.

State FFA Associations were recognized for increases in membership.

Central Region Vice President Wyatt DeJong inspired FFA members as he encouraged them to do more and to exceed their expectations in his retiring address “Can’t Spell ‘Course’ Without ‘U'”.

FFA chapters were recognized for their excellence in the areas of community, chapter, and student development in the Models of Innovation Awards. The area of Student Development was won by the Lemoore, California FFA chapter, Chapter Development was won by Ridgemont, Ohio, and Community Development was won by Wilson, Kansas FFA.

To wrap things up,over 600  FFA chapters from across the country were recognized for their National Chapter Awards.
